All you need to know to shop with me

I hope I have answered all your questions below about sizing, postage, returns and exchanges. If not, please feel free to ask me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Do you have a sizing chart?

Um, no! As I often stock more than a dozen brands, and each brand measures their shoes differently, and many assign different European sizes to Aussie sizes, it can be a challenge to advise you in one nifty chart which size you should buy.

I do have Sizing Tips in the Description area of all my shoes and boots though, and this will tell you what size is equivalent to your Australian size.

I wish sizing was consistent but alas. If in any doubt, please don’t hesitate to contact me for advice.

For my overseas customers, I realise you may not be familiar with Australian sizes. To help with this:

A UK8 is an Aussie 10
A UK9 is an Aussie 11
A UK10 is an Aussie 12
A UK11 is an Aussie 13
A UK12 is an Aussie 14

For US and Canadian customers, we have the same sizing. Yah!

For European customers, it's not consistent so please still check the Sizing Tip on the product page but for the most part:

A 42 is an Aussie 10
A 43 is an Aussie 11
A 44 is an Aussie 12
A 45 is an Aussie 13
A 46 is an Aussie 14

Important "nitty gritty" information!

So here we get to the nitty gritty! Below you'll find information on postage prices and also refunds, exchanges and credits.

I wish I could offer free postage and free returns within Australia and anywhere in the world; I really do. But the reality is that I'm not a multinational company or even a big business; I'm a proud small business woman who loves gorgeous long shoes and wants to make them available to everyone.

Your order isn't packed in a warehouse or a distribution centre; it's packed with love and care in my little shop in Hawthorne, Brisbane. There's no huge team of people doing this; just myself and a few beautiful casual staff.

Australia is a huge country and a long way from most places on the planet and postage charges reflect this. The $40 that I charge for international orders and the $10 that I charge for Australian orders does not cover the cost; I absorb the balance and for the time being, it's the best I can do. I will always monitor this and look out for better price opportunities.

POSTAGE FOR AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS:

Postage is $10 per order no matter how many shoes you fall in love with.

If you order before 1pm on a weekday, most orders to metropolitan areas will be received the next 1-3 business days by Couriers Please. Woohoooo! You will receive tracking updates throughout the process and there will also be a dedicated tracking page you can check.

Given your shoes will be couriered, there is no express option as they are already getting to you as fast as possible!

However, if you live in a smaller regional town, on a farm or have a PO Box, then I will use Australia Post as they're more reliable than a courier service (and Couriers Please can't courier to PO Boxes).

If you live in Brisbane or are visiting, you can Click and Collect and visit my Hawthorne shop to collect your order.

POSTAGE FOR NEW ZEALAND CUSTOMERS:

Postage is $15 for each order, which will be sent by Australia Post and can take around 5 work days for delivery.

All international orders may be subject to duties and taxes, for which The Shoe Garden is not liable. For further information on taxes, duties and customs regulations, please contact your local customs office.

POSTAGE FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE UK & EUROPE:

Postage is $40 for each order, which will be sent by Australia Post and can take 5-6 work days for delivery.

All international orders may be subject to duties and taxes, for which The Shoe Garden is not liable. For further information on taxes, duties and customs regulations, please contact your local customs office.

POSTAGE FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE US & CANADA:

Postage is $40 for each order, which will be sent by Australia Post and can take around 5 work days for delivery to the US and around 9 work days for delivery to Canada.

All international orders may be subject to duties and taxes, for which The Shoe Garden is not liable. For further information on taxes, duties and customs regulations, please contact your local customs office.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & CREDITS

All returned shoes need to be unworn and in perfect condition in their original box and returned within 30 days of purchase.

Please try on your shoes or boots while you are on carpet to ensure they remain in tip top condition.
